According to the "Washington Post" report on the 27th, due to the unrelief of the new crown epidemic, more than 35,000 employees in the entire US aviation industry will be unemployed on October 1. Some analysts said that the current crisis facing the U.S. aviation industry is much more serious than the situation after the "9.11" terrorist attacks.

According to data released by the US Department of Labor this month, the number of jobs in the US air transport industry has fallen by more than 100,000 from March, a drop of more than 20%. It is reported that American passenger and cargo airlines employ approximately 700,000 people, and airlines have issued warnings to tens of thousands of employees that they will be in danger of being fired on October 1.

According to the Washington Post, more than 35,000 people face unemployment, which is just a microcosm of the entire US aviation industry. Thousands of people have taken unpaid leave or left their airlines forever. Others have experienced shortened working hours and are worried about a pay cut this fall. Currently, more than 1,800 aircraft in the United States are still grounded, accounting for one-third of the entire aviation industry's fleet, and services may continue to be reduced after layoffs.

At present, the number of deaths from the new crown epidemic has exceeded 1 million, and the raging epidemic has cast a "haze" on the recovery of the aviation industry.
